Old Butte Historical Adventures provides comprehensive step-on guide service to tour groups in Butte and Southwest Montana. Our guides are experts on local history, and we can tailor a package to your interests. Architecture, mining history, ethnic heritage, geology, labor history in the "Gibraltar of Unionism" — whatever your focus, we can entertain and inform your group with any combination of walking and riding to our own private museums and other local attractions. The table at the bottom of this page suggests a few of the thematic tours we can create for you.
Although our focus is on Butte and Southwest Montana, our guides bring many years of professional tour service to Old Butte. Skagway, Alaska, Telluride and the San Juans in Colorado, national parks of the Western United States, and Iceland are among the areas our guides have covered, for private companies as well as for the US National Park Service and the Smithsonian Institution.
Spending the night with nothing on the schedule? We can bring historical and technical presentations to your hotel for evening entertainment, or we can organize an intriguing night-time exploration of Butte. The table below lists a few of the possible presentations we can bring to you (some of these are offered in cooperation with Butte Citizens for Preservation and Revitalization).
Do you have just a short time to stay with us? Our custom packages for step-on services range from 30 minutes to all day, and we know the best places to show you if you only have limited time to spend.
